The Adam Carolla Show: I’ll Miss you Naming My V
So, I’ve been getting lots of questions and just wanted to let you guys know the story.
Adam has decided to start recording his podcast at night, which means I’d be home too late for my morning radio wakeup call of 4:30 a.m. I’m really disappointed, but I totally understand. Adam thinks night time is funnier, which it is, and he also finds it difficult to schedule meetings, etc., around the afternoon recordings.
After so long being the regular news girl, I’m kind of still in shock that I won’t be hearing my usual, “F you CNN” sound off, at least for now. The show is searching for a permanent replacement. I consider myself part of the Carolla show family, and I’ll be stopping by to fill in whenever they need me, as well as showing up as a guest to promote my book in both December and January. Like I said, I hope to darken the Ace Man’s door frequently and if I can get DAG to snore at either my news stories or personal stories, all the better. Can’t believe how much I’m going to miss seeing Bald Bryan and Larry Miller and all our great interns, including Blaster Girl Katie, who did such a great job sitting in for me.
Anyway, my new morning show at KABC 790 (the Peter Tilden Show) is available on iTunes or you can listen at the website online. Peter is great, and I wish I could do both, but multiple jobs at odd hours and a one year old is a combination that can only lead to high doses pf Wellbutrin and my kid asphyxiating on a leaf while I check my iPhone at the park. Bad times.
Working with Adam has been one of the best experiences of my professional life and as I said, I’ll be making as many guest appearances as I can before they get sick of me.
Meanwhile, if you haven’t already, you should think about ordering Adam’s hilarious book, “In Fifty Years We’ll All Be Chicks” and help him reach the Amazon.com top ten list. He may not be a reader, but the writing is sublime and you shouldn’t miss it. Mahalo.

I’m also one who doesn’t listen to the ACS as much since you left. I knew I loved you because you’re so quick witted and smart, but I didn’t realize the total impact you had on the show until I found myself not listening as much.
I’m secretly hoping that your morning show will flop so that you can come back to the ACS. I feel so selfish and ashamed, but that’s how I feel!
I have been listening to Carolla since the LoveLine days, I can honestly say, it has NEVER been better than with Teresa. I am reeeally bummed that you’re not going to be a regular on the show anymore. It hurts me to admit it, but what was once a daily listen for me, the Ace show has now become a once in a blue moon now that T is gone.
Please come back soon!! Would it help if they renamed the show the Teresa Strasser Show (with Adam Carolla)? I’ll support it!
I feel the same way. I used to listen EVERY DAY. now it’s once in a blue moon as well. Teresa made that show.. I loved the news stories she picked. I loved her quick wit and dry sense of humor… I’m soooo sad. but I WILL be listening to her new program… Miss you T!!!
The Ace network is stronger with you and much weakened by your departure. You’ll be missed, ~ everyone knows you’ll be welcomed back with a standing ovation at anytime. You’re the number one pick, just need you to jump on board when it all comes back together.
Cheers
SRF
Seems like a lot of Tim’s on here agree that you are the great, T……….There was never any better radio/podcasting than you, Adam, and Bald Bryan – and you guys were really going on all cylinders when the band split back up.
I hope somehow it gets back together again. I haven’t figured out where to find you on itunes, but I did listen to your Strasser Report and liked that.
The BEST – that’s what you are! (I even bought your book even though I have no kids!)
Just to echo what everyone else said. I really miss you on the podcast! It’s just not the same. I still laugh, but it’s just not the same.
what else is there to say that hasn’t been said by the other 93 commenters (i’m late to the party.) but really, who else will make merle norman references if you’re not there to make them?
glad you were on when you were. i was pregnant around the same time you were and it honestly was like having a friend to talk with, listening to your stories on the show.
best of luck!

Hey T-
So great to hear you and Fitzdog the other day. I hope you take all these well-wishers’ posts seriously. You really are terrific in all the ways these previous posts mention- screw self-doubt, baby girl.
I just saw Adam on stage Tuesday night in New York. He was great but the interviewer was so-so (you’d have been a delight, as the man says). Getting my book signed and pic taken with him, he looked tired and lonely. And I kid you not — he misspelled Tim!
I wish you, Bryan, Dawson and the pirate crew could have been there to bring the house down.
I’ll start checking out your work on iTunes. Stay gold-
Much love,
Tim
Teresa,
Myself and my co-workers have managed to get through our awful evening shift job with so much less desperation and disgust after I began downloading the Carolla Podcasts and bringing them in. You, in particular made our pathetic nights fly by with your quick wit and enthusiastic storytelling. Your rapoire with Adam is unmatched and the show has definitely not been the same since you left. We have been beginning each new podcast with the anticipation of hearing your name announced, and recently have come to the realization that you wouldn’t be coming back in the same capacity as before. All the best in your future endeavors! You are honestly among the funniest women I can think of in recent comedy history.
~Missing you in Scranton!
You are SO missed on the Aceman’s podcast! I have been meaning to get into Peter Tilden to follow you, but I dunno…he’s just not my speed. Baby steps.
Creepily enough, I always find myself thinking the same things you say whenever I get to listen to you.
I wish you all the best, and much love and success in your personal and professional lives. I will love keeping up with your book(s), blog, and all of your future successes!
The podcast is just not at all the same without you…you are hilarious and very much missed. Best of luck to you, you are extremely talented, quick-witted, self-deprecating and just sharp…its a pleasure to hear what you have to say.
I’m going to try and find your new podcast! I hope you will make an appearance on TPE, as well as Adam’s.
I echo the other listeners that said there was a special chemistry between the three of you (Adam, BB and you) you just all played off one another brilliantly and the affection you had for each other came through. Maybe someday you will all get the band back together!
Take care of yourself and your family!
This sucks! The show just isn’t that good without T.
I am super sad about this.
The Ace Man’s show is just not the same without T-Bone… bummer. Oh well… nothing lasts forever. Good luck with the book, your new radio show and all your other future endeavors.
T-Bone… a thousand echoes in this place – ITS JUST NOT THE SAME! I don’t d/l the podcasts as religiously as I used to either and i hate that cos i love adam and bryan but you gotta have the trifecta in the house!!! Glad you have a paying gig now cos lord knows life aint cheap but know you are sorely missed by so many and let that be a little light in your day….
I miss you on the Adam Carolla podcast, and the Parent Experiment podcasts with you were great. Please come back as much as possible. Good luck with the new show!
Sigh. Yeah. The show is just not the same without you. I said that when the podcast first started from Adam’s garage. There is just a chemistry with you, Bryan, and Adam that can’t be recreated. None of the fill-ins even come close. I still listen to Adam, and it’s often funny, but not as often. To put it in terms Adam would understand, it’s like one really nice boob. Sure, it’s great, but a pair is better. Greater than the sum of their parts, and all that.
My first thought when Adam announced you wouldn’t be on the show regularly any more was to hope that he started making enough money to pay you so you could quit your other gig. I really have to wonder about his motivations, but he’s stated so clearly before how irreplaceable you are that he must get it…
Either way, as I think about it, I hope whatever ends up happening is whatever is best for you T. You are smart, beautiful, and very funny, and my ears will always perk up whenever I hear your name.
I was beginning to think it was me!! I am hating the new show! I need to hear your quick wit and childhood bus stories!! Adam is pissing me off!!!!
Teresa,
I have missed hearing you on Adam’s show and The Parent Experiment so much. They just aren’t the same without you. I currently can’t find your new radio show in iTunes, but I may just be technologically challenged, and I’ll continue trying to find it. I hope you’ll continue to write here because I love reading your blog and hearing about you and Buster. I hope you love your new show, but I would love it even more if somehow you make your way back to Adam’s show. Anyway, I’m wishing you the best!
Dear T,
Miss you like crazy – glad you are getting paid out there.
My favorite recent things that you have been a part of…
Minority Banks sketch and the day you were almost weeping w/ laughter at the thought that “what if Donnie and Dawson BOTH SAID SOMETHING FUNNY ON THE SAME DAY” You, Bry and Ace are the team of all teams
Be proud of your workk w/ them.
I went to Adams first live show in WA, and was so worried that the audience would be filled w/ the likes of the folks who post nothing but crap…Te audience was full of nice, happy, ticket buying, men and women who love and respect you. You are awesome. Believe it!
Stay strong – Furry Creek! :}
Hi T,
I know you don’t know me from Adam. (sorry, couldn’t help myself) I’ve been a long time fan of Ace. When I discovered he was back at it with a podcast a little over a year ago I was thrilled. But I’m sad to say I was late to the “T” party. I really grew to appreciate your participation about as much as A.C. himslef, over this last year. You are a true tallent. And your intelligence is as much of a turn on as your looks. I am a guy. Sorry, I couldn’t let that one slide.
I wish you nothing but success in your new endeavor, and I’ll be listening in. But most of all, I look forward to hearing you back on the Ace network sometime soon.
Cheers,
ben
It won’t be the same without you, love ya and followed ya to KABC too!
I used to say that, aside from Robin on Howard, women should be banned from all things radio. You proved me wrong and you will definitely be missed. I am now a huge fan of yours. My big question is….was it a money thing? Why wouldn’t Adam pony up to keep you?…instead of forcing you to take some morning AM radio gig?
Earlier I said that I’ll still listen, though it’s not the same w/o T. Now let me revise: I find myself not even downloading the podcast regularly, for one reason and one reason only–if ACE can’t find a way to record the podcast earlier so that T can be on the show, hell with it. There are some guys over on the Podcast forum–and I meet the type from time to time–who don’t like intelligent, witty women, and so they don’t like T. Is it any more complicated than that? Doubtful. And let me just say, there are plenty of males out here who are not the sensitive types, who aren’t vegans, who know how to work on cars, who are goy through and through, and who adore women like T for their energy and their ironic sense of humor. The clowns who attempt to substitute for her are ruining the show. Now we’re treated to 30-minute arguments b/t ACE and Donny! That’s what I want to hear during my commute.
I have to chime in with everyone else. You are the perfect compliment for this show. I miss you every day in my listening, and I hope you can one day return full time to the show. You and I had children about the same time, and I always liked hearing about where you were with Buster. Miss you, and hope you eventually return to the show.
You are so missed! Your departure has created a real void… Every week, on my drive to work, I listen to TPE in hopes that you will make a surprise return. It’s kept me from unsubscribing for now, but that day is approaching. Your neuroticism, self-deprecating humor and ability to articulate my endless insecurities and concerns better than I ever could make you irreplaceable. I religiously read and reread your blog during my pregnancy. I wish you all the very best.
P.S. As much as I wanted to like a fellow Jew from the former Soviet Union and take pride in someone’s unrelated achievement, Susanna cannot fill your shoes. I’ll leave it at that.
Also, if you had a birthday party for Buster, can you please blog an account of it.
At the risk of tipping the critical mass of the “me too’s” – I have been painfully aware of the hiatus of perfect trifecta of ACE, BB and you. Intelligence, humor and “drops” like manna from heaven. I was hoping you’d update your blog last week because I wanted to wish dear Nathaniel “Buster”, “Frank Breech” James a happy, happy first birthday. I hope he got lots of toys that make enough racket to keep his Y chromosome twitching without creating a larger need for a diazepam fog on the part of his parents. Mazeltov little man – hope you have groovy cake-all-over-my-face photos that can be used to shame you in front of the first hot girl you bring home to the ‘rents. As much as I miss you dear Teresa on the ACP – I find TPE without you very hard to listen to (I LOVE Lynette, but sadly I am one of those who find poor Suzanna like battery acid to my brain). She’s smart and funny, but she doesn’t apparently understand the meaning of the word “interview” – perhaps it has another meaning in Australia or the former Soviet Union. Can’t wait for you book, I listen to you and Peter every morning, I’ve liked him from the days he was “the smart guy” on a country radio station I listened to from time to time. Hopefully Kathy and Donny will clearly mark any ACP’s that you are the guest or fill in for. We love us some T.
T no one could change gears with Adam like you could. No one could flow with his impromptue bits like you could. No one was as fearlessly open as you were. The ACE show is diminished with your departure. We will miss you!
When the Adam Carolla Show started back up again, a little while back… and i heard that familiar intro music again, for the first time… And i heard Bald Bryan and your infectious laugh again, for the first time…
That was one of my happiest commutes, ever, ever. And i’ve been meaning to tell you that ever since. You, like Dr. Drew, really complement Adam. I find the show is really at it’s peak when “the gang’s all here.”
And now that you’re gone again, i felt I should (finally) tell you this. You’ll be sorely missed, T!
I miss you on the Adam Carolla Show already. I think that I can honestly say that I started listening because of Adam, but I kept listening because of you. It’s not the same without you…. I wish you all the best for the future.
So sad!!! You were truly the best part of the show for me. The other women they’ve had just don’t measure up. Hope you can visit often, you are greatly missed.
Why, Teresa, WHY ??? Was it something I said? Something I did??? I can change! I swear I can change!!! PLEASE COME BACK. PLEASE!!! My life is empty without you!!!!
You are the best, T. Pretty, smart and funny as hell. If I knew you in real life, you would have broke my heart.
You’re breaking it enough just not being on the podcast anymore!
I wish you the best of luck, and hope somehow you end up working on the podcast again!
I will miss you. The show is not as good without you. We will be lucky if your replacement is half as good. Hopefully you and Adam make it back together someday. It is a perfect match.
Really bummed to hear it. I will always think of you as part of the “Classic” line-up. I will miss you as especially as Adam goes through an endless parade of pretenders and other female side-kicks who don’t get “it”. You did. And for that I, personally will miss you on his show.
Good luck with the mortgage and with the book.
I’m sad you are going. Thank you so much for doing such a great job after the horrible Rachel Perry. You are an excellent compliment to Adam and I hope you are happy and successful in your new show!
Dear Teresa,
You are, without question, the only person capable not only of keeping up with, but improving Adam Carolla. Those quick, deft remarks, sometimes barely audible, often obscure–trust me, some of us out here were getting them, and howling in appreciation. Among my very favorites: your Mel Gibson routine with Adam as Chief Thunderbear. In two seconds you guys were on exactly the same page, and the next four minutes were pure comic genius. That’s one of just a thousand examples from the last four or five years. Here’s hoping the gang–Adam, T, and BB–will find a way to get back together and stay there. I still listen to Adam, of course, but it’s not quite the same w/o you.
Theresa,
Come back soon T
Sad to see you leave. Good luck on your morning radio show – which i’m downloading now on iTunes. You are a great part of the show and no one can truly replace you.
Teresa,
I’ve been listening to the Adam Carolla show since the day it aired when he took over Howard Stern’s spot, and you’re the reason I’ve remained such a loyal listener. Since the podcast began, I’ve found myself cherry-picking the episodes with guests I like, or more recently, the ones that you’re on. I really admire your strength, and humor and your humility. I swear, you and Liz Lemon make me feel like I’m ok.
You will sincerely be missed!
you will be missed. you added the perfect note to the show & allowed Adam to shine as the star. it’s easy to be annoyed by the sidekick. i was prepared not to like you – but you won me over & then some. you were funny, smart, feminine & self-expressed & sounded as if you have had actual vocal training – what a concept! you held your own without resorting to excessive sarcasm or spotlight-stealing. you were a great team member & “glue” & should be proud.
So sad…I have been missing you on the show! I wish you could go back to TPE. Susanna Brisk makes me miss you even more
Teressa, you were so great on Adam’s show, and you will be greatly missed! Hope to hear you as a guest in the future!
Best of luck T, I’ll miss hearing names for your V
Best V name was ‘The Goblet of Fire’. Hahhahaa. Soooo gonna miss you on the show Teresa
I’m so sad! But I still love you. And I’ll still follow whatever you’re doing. The ACP is the poorer without you.
Teresa, I’m so sorry to hear the news! I know it’s a better situation for you to leave, but I truly have missed you on the show lately, and I will continue to. I remember when Adam was trying out different girls to take over for that horrible Rachel Perry and when they tried you out, you were so perfect for the show. You’re so funny and smart and sharp; it was refreshing to hear you on the radio and the podcast when usually, they put the dumbest women on the radio. I wish the best for you and look forward to hearing more from you in the future!
Teresa,
I can’t really say how I feel any better then some of the better written posts here, but rest assured that your absence is felt across the board.
You are the balance of the show, and your wit and intelligence bring something to the ACS that nobody else will likely be able to produce.
I know that some of the message boards had a few trolls running amok, but I only hope that was not a factor. In order to be great, you have to be criticized. It’s just the nature of our world.
I wish you the best of luck, and as my intelli-crush, I hope one day to run into you and have the chance to shoot the shit for a few minutes. If not, know that your work stands alone. All of the best with Peter Tilden…please check into why the podcasts are so short per hour.
As Isaac Hayes would say: “…it’s..it’s gooooood.”
Noooooooooooo!
T, so sorry to hear that you will not be a regular on the ACP. Adam will soon realize the the podcast is a little flat without you. Regardless of what the future brings, I am confident that you will be a very successful mom and a player in the entertainment field. Not having you on the podcast feels like I’m breaking up with someone I really care about. This really sucks.
T.. I miss you so much! Good luck & good health for little Buster~
Well, poop. Don’t know what else to say.
Sad times. Very sad times. I feel like I’m seven years old all over again and my parents are getting divorced… and that never even happened! I can’t even equate this to anything… I hope you will be on Adam’s show as much as possible. This sucks. You’re the best, T
