Today’s Edition of Good Mommy/Bad Mommy

When it comes to moms, I don’t really have much to brag about. My stepmother was evil and my mother’s style was characterized mainly by benign neglect. For that reason, I fantasize about women I wish were my mommy, and sometimes I get psyched when I realize some crazy bitch wasn’t my mommy. Here is today’s episode of Good Mommy/Bad Mommy. Meet Elizabeth Warren. I would like her to be my mommy.

She has a comforting grey bob. She makes Bill Maher laugh. She is the head of TARP, the Troubled Asset Relief Program. She is a Harvard Law School Professor. She knows things, and she communicates the soothing sense that she can make anything all better, including the subprime mortgage crisis. I like the tone of her voice. She’s written lots of books. Time Magazine says she’s one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. I would like her to be my mommy.

And now, for todays Bad Mommy. Meet 23 year-old Tiffany Toribio.

This homeless New Mexico mom suffocated her toddler, Ty. She buried him under the sand at a playground.

“What makes this story especially sad was when asked the reason why she took Ty’s life, Tiffany said that she did not want him to grow up with no one caring about him the same way that she had grown up with no one caring about her,” said Police Chief Ray Schultz, his eyes watering.

Makes my mom look like June Fucking Cleaver. Glad she’s not my mommy.

While I loved the video of the amazing Ms. Warren, I’m sick to my stomach over the story about Ms. Toribio. She is obviously dealing with mental illness, when you read about her entire story that lead to the final tragic events surrounding her son.
My only hope is that she will not be dealt with as a piece of human garbage, but rather as the sick woman she is, who needs help – not just incarceration.

Really…Scout..really..? The only part I do agree you with is she does not need incarceration.

She was kicked out of her mom’s place for being a piece of S*** and then out of a “friends” for neglecting and witholding affection from the boy. She was more interested in the party life (ala Kasey Anthony, Susan Smith and Andrea Yates…ok she was probably crazy) and killed the kid twice.

What part of the word human garbage does she not resemble. Hell….even wild animals will ‘adopt’ another species when abandoned. (cat nurses hamster baby…lion nurses antelope baby) etc….

Let me clue you in on something..she was able to kill, revive and then re-kill her own flesh and blood whom she carried in her body for 9 months and gave birth to. She’s a calculating cold blooded killer. They cannot give her the electric chair fast enough. Ohhhh but NOOOOOOO N.M. no longer has the death penalty. So her “counseling”, her room and board, her health care everything will now be paid for by the State.

A .30 cent bullet would end the need for anything but the $200 cost for a backhoe and paying Chuy to bury her in an unmarked grave. Which is about $200.30 more than we should have to spend for this B****. Look I’m not a big death penalty fan..in fact I would agree with alot of people who say it does nothing to prevent further loss of life due to “deterence”.

But cmon. She’ll get a life sentence (45 yrs) she will do half, if that, and get released on good behavior in about 10-15 (if that) and will back to partying and craping out more kids. The day you deliberately take someones life (ESPECIALLY AN INNOCENT CHILD) is the day you dont deserve to be treated a sick woman.

The sad part is unlike the mens prison she will probably be shunned instead of killed when she has to deal with other inmates. Nothing would make me happier than for her to spend her life as in the next 85 years in a 23 hr a day hole to think about how she took that babie’s life. Instead she’ll go to Grants womens facility and live in relative comfort for the next 8-10 yrs. And I bet….I truly believe that while she might give it a thought or two on the kids birthday and or Mother’s day, it will only take a couple of 40’s and bottle of peppermint schnapps for her to be back in her element. Mark my words, upon release she will go right back to drinking and will be pregnant within 3 yrs or less.

We all have our bad days, who doesnt want to smack our kids when they tell the principal to go to hell or punch a hole in the neighbors wall with a baseball bat, or when they flush your sock down the crapper and flood the house, or maybe wreck the car. Countless people are homeless with children, I suffered at the hands of an abuser and was abandoned by my mother…but guess what….somehow I managed to break the cycle, and now love and care for my kids like my parents were Ozzie and Harriet.

I would give my life for them, and I would take someones life if they ever tried to hurt them.

There is NO FING reason she couldnt have abandoned that poor kid or hung herself at that playground. Geez wouldnt that have been a better deal. EXCEPT she is just another example of a cancerous growth on the ass of modern earth. CUT IT OFF AND DUMP IT IN THE SCRAP PILE. UGH. Selfish, stupid and psychotic. A bad combination that needs to be removed from decent society.

Sorry…but coddling and counseling is not what she needs. Incarceration and burdening society is not what we need.

Hey heres an idea…I suggest we allow someone to suffocate her, revive her and then re-suffocate her till death. Thats about as fair as it gets.

Sorry T…I know this is a light hearted blog..but dammit..where do we take a stand?

Love your kids….dont kill them…is that too much to ask?

Thanks to Caleb Bacon, writer at LAist.com for letting me know about your blog. Great posts you have. Ah I remember my kiddo exploiting me from the inside too. Now she likes telling people, “She’s weird!”

  7. DivineENVE says:

Good one T. Did you hear about the chick who used her baby as a BODY SHIELD against her baby daddy after he threatened to shoot the cops?! True story. I’m so glad they put that baby in child protection, she deserves to be no one’s mommy.

I work in a place for kids with behavioral and emotional problems. Basically, it’s filled with kids whose parents are jackasses. There is a mom who killed her baby by suffocation and stuffed her body in a diaper box and shoved it in the closet. She then claimed her baby was kidnapped and went through the whole production. I wish I could punch her in the face.

  13. Delores says:

I’m sure you’re going to be a good mom. You’ve been putting a lot of time and thinking into motherhood even before the baby was conceived so I have not doubt your kid will turn out to be wonderful and would be proud that you’re his mother.

When you’ve been a mom as long as I have (22 years), you feel it is your duty to advise new or soon to be mothers. I’ll keep it brief. My advice would be to breast feed as long as possible. I’m sure all those “allergic to everything” kids were bottle fed. You ever hear of peanut allergies or ADD/ADHD in third world countries where bottle feeding doesn’t exist?

  14. Bucky Wheat says:

I am a dad. It is what I have become. I have always been afraid (Still am) of being a dad. There really isn’t anything that gives me more joy than to see my kids everyday. At the same time I cannot wait till they go to sleep and stop talking. I have a 1 year old (he is currently revolting against sleep) and a 4 years old. Back to fear. I cannot believe my mom and dad began their journey at 18/17. Holy Crap, I could barely wipe my self correctly. But here I am responsible to them and to the world not to screw them up. I wish you the best of luck! Please return the wishes. I am a big fan. Keep yourself out in the world and cherish this baby.
